What age children do you care for?

Henry’s Day Nursery provides high-quality childcare for babies, toddlers and pre-school children. We care for children from 9 months old until they start school.

Where is Henry’s Day Nursery?

We are based at 223 Bucks Hill, Nuneaton, CV10 9LE, providing a welcoming and friendly environment for children and their families.

What are your opening hours?

Our nursery is open Monday to Friday. Please contact us for our current opening hours and availability.

Do you have places available?

We regularly have spaces available for children of different ages. Contact us to check our latest availability and discuss your child's requirements.

Do you offer funded childcare?

Yes. We offer funded childcare places for eligible children, including funded hours for eligible 2-year-olds and the 30 hours funded childcare scheme for eligible 3- and 4-year-olds.

Funding eligibility can depend on your circumstances, so please contact us and we will be happy to explain what may be available.

Do you offer full-time and part-time places?

Yes. We can discuss a range of attendance patterns depending on your child's age, availability and your childcare requirements.

Can I arrange a visit?

Absolutely! We encourage parents and carers to visit the nursery, meet our team and see our setting before making a decision.

Your Child's Day

What activities do children take part in?

Children enjoy a wide range of age-appropriate activities designed to support their development, confidence and independence. Activities include creative play, sensory experiences, physical activities, stories, music, outdoor play and learning through play.

Do children get outdoor play?

Yes. Outdoor play is an important part of our children's day and provides opportunities for physical development, exploration and social interaction.

How do you support children's development?

Our experienced team provides activities and experiences that support children's individual development and follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

We monitor children's progress and work closely with parents and carers to support each child's individual needs.

Will my child have a key person?

Yes. Your child will have a key person who will help them settle into nursery, get to know their individual needs and support their development.

Food & Mealtimes

Do you provide meals and snacks?

Please contact us for details of the meals and snacks currently provided at nursery.

Can you cater for allergies or dietary requirements?

We will discuss your child's individual dietary requirements with you and work with you to ensure appropriate arrangements are put in place.

Can my child bring their own food?

Please speak to the nursery team about our current arrangements for food brought from home.

Settling In

What happens when my child first starts nursery?

We understand that starting nursery can be a big step for both children and parents. We provide a settling-in process designed to help your child become familiar with the nursery, their key person and the other children.

What if my child is upset when I leave?

It is completely normal for some children to become upset when separating from their parents. Our experienced team will comfort and reassure your child and help them settle into their new surroundings.

Will I be kept updated about my child's day?

Yes. We communicate with parents and carers about their child's day, including their experiences, activities, meals, sleep and development as appropriate.

What Should My Child Bring?

What does my child need to bring to nursery?

We will provide you with a list of anything your child needs to bring depending on their age and individual requirements. This may include spare clothing, nappies, wipes and appropriate outdoor clothing.

Does my child need to be toilet trained?

No. Children do not need to be toilet trained before starting nursery. We support children with toilet training when they are ready, working together with parents and carers.

Parents & Communication

Can I speak to the nursery team about my child's progress?

Of course. We encourage an open and positive relationship between parents and nursery staff. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to a member of the team.

How do I apply for a place?

Simply contact Henry's Day Nursery and let us know your child's age, your preferred start date and the days or hours of childcare you require.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend contacting us as early as possible, particularly if you require specific days or a funded place.
